Students from the University of Nairobi’s Sub-Department of French took part in the 6th interuniversity debate in French held at Kenyatta University on 7th March 2020 as part of the 50th anniversary of the francophonie: Sam Kioko (1st back right), Terry Auma ( 6th front right), Daisy Simuyu (behind Terry) The completion aimed at selecting a student who will represent Kenya in a similar debate which will be held in Madagascar.
The University of Nairobi emerged second overall in the university category while Terry Auma, a fourth-year student won in the overall individual category.
The Department of literature lead by the Chair Dr. Masumi Odari, Soka University Students and the UoN Students from the Department of Literature visited Raha Centre Boys Community Services, for volunteer missions and the word of encouragement.
