Exams Regulations
A candidate who satisfies the examiners shall be recommended for
the award of the degree of Bachelor of Arts and placed in one of the
following four classes according to his/her performance:
1. First Class Honours 70% - 100%
2. Second Class Honours (Upper Div.) 60% - 69%
3. Second Class Honours (Lower Div.) 50% - 59%
4. Pass 40% - 49%
Admission Requirements
Students wishing to enroll for Units in the Sub-Department of French in the first year must meet the requirements of the Faculty of Arts and will have obtained a minimum of KCSE level grade C+ or its equivalent in French. Students in the BA program shall take the following degree options:
i) French as one of two major disciplines
ii) French as one of two minor disciplines
iii) French as the only minor disciplines
iv) French as the only major discipline (if recommended by Head of Department)
